Snake Plant

The snake plant, otherwise known as "mother-in-laws tongue", is native to tropical West Africa from Nigeria to Congo. The plant's main characteristic is its very rigid, strong and long leaves that are green striped in color.

Properties

  • Water usage: Low, tolerates irregular watering very well, overwatering causes rot.
  • Light: Good in any light
  • Other: Toxic to animals and humans. Almost impossible to kill
  • Manliness: Rigidness, stubborn, firm, hard to kill, survival characteristics. C02 builds up and when release a hissing sound may be heard.

Uses

  • Air filter.
  • Absorbs poisens in the air.
  • Grows as a weed downunder in Australia.
