The Jade plant, also known as the money tree or friendship tree, is native to South Africa but is used worldwide as a house plant. The thick fleshy leaves grow in pairs on thick tree bark like stems. The plant gets its name from the color of the leaves, jade. The plant will flower in the right conditions in early spring with little white flowers.
